I purchased a pair about Five years ago, and there still going strong. What they don't mention is the sole material and waffle configuration is unbeatable, I mean wet or dry you still get traction. Wheather your bouldring or stream fishing . Plus there made right here in Colorado!

I and 63 and had a heart transplant 8 years ago, and need to stay active. My Z1s give me a good sense of sure-footed traction and I wear them in and out of the water. I like to flyfish and if the water is warm enough not to need my waders, I find my Z1 Chacos give me good traction in the stream or up and down slippery banks. I have had some foot problems over the years, but the Chacos give me the foot support I need for painless walking. They are by far the best sandals I have ever owned, bar none.

Can't say exactly, but I got my Chacos about 8+ years ago and they're still going strong! I originally bought them because I have flat feet and severe plantar faciitis. These sandals have kept my feet (and me) happy and pain free...don't know what I'd do without them!! I only wish Chaco would make more wide sizes for women since I would rather wear the pretty women's colors they now make vs. the men's pair that I've been sporting for 8+ years. Like many tall women, I've wide feet. =}
