Webbing Cleaning Tips

• Clean your sandals frequently
• Wash any non-leather Chaco sandal in the washing machine with jeans and dark colored clothing; detergent works great
• Avoid bleach and allow to air dry
• You also can hand wash your sandals with a scrub brush, baking soda and water
• Every few washings, floss the straps back and forth to keep channels clear of grit and sand
• A diluted solution of Armor-All® sprayed into webbing slots will help straps slide smoothly

Leather Sandal Care

• To extend the life of your leather sandals, clean them with a damp cloth
• If your sandals get wet, dry them in an airy place. Do not dry with heat as it will make the leather brittle and cause it to crack
• High-quality leather conditioner will help preserve your sandals, but may darken their color

Re-soling and Re-webbing

Keep your worn sandals out of the landfill by having us repair them. Don't wait too long; sandals with cracked or damaged footbeds are beyond repair. Only Chaco Z/1, Z/2, ZX/1, and ZX/2 sandals can be re-webbed or re-soled. Please see the Repair section of our website for details or call our Customer Service department at 888-211-9211.

Strap Length Adjustment

No two feet are created equal. Straps may be lengthened or shortened on all adult sandals with adjustable straps. You may request a sandal adjustment via special order by your dealer or by sending your sandals directly to Chaco. To obtain repair instructions for this service use our secure online Sandal Repair process or contact our Customer Service department by phone at 888-211-9211, or by e-mail, chacorepairs@wwwinc.com. This offer applies to adult Z/1, Z2, ZX/1 and ZX/2 sandals only. The model Zong can be shortened only, Hipthong and Flip have fixed straps.

Special Orders

For $125 we will make you a pair of Z/1s or Z/2s with any webbing (including your own) and sole combination you can dream of. Make a statement at weddings, conventions and presidential inaugurations. Email or call Chaco Customer Service at 888-211-1908 for more information.

Need a Lift?

We work with a nearby cobbler to facilitate the addition of custom lifts in our adult Z/1, Z/2, ZX/1, ZX/2 sandals. Please contact David Stover who will order pre-glued components and insert the necessary buildups to your specifications.
