I just got mine in the mail and I am so excited! I've always wanted a pair. I've been wearing them around the house for the past hour, and they are extremely comfortable. They're also green-- my favorite color! I highly reccomend them.

I have the Z/2 Chacos and I was wondering what was the diffrence between unaweeps and marines? I really love the green color for unaweeps and Im thinking about Purchasing these..Is there a diffence in them?

There is a difference between the Unaweep and Marine outsole in our footwear, and the difference falls within the sport, or use. Our Unaweep outsole is a combination of slip resistance and traction. It is the perfect all-sport outsole; making it the standard ‘go-to’ outsole for many Chaco enthusiasts. The Marine outsole, on the other hand is comprised of a non-marking rubber which is specifically designed for use on boat decks in wet-dry conditions and features water-drainage channels, low-profile, high-surface contact lug design that is concentrated in high-slip areas. With that said, unless you plan on sporting our footwear on a wet boat deck, you’ll want to go with the Unaweep outsoles.

boating question By mme 7/23/2010

I have a 6 yr old pair of chacos I would like to replace. I need a pair of non-marking shoes for a sailing trip. I use my chacos for everyday, hiking, traveling. Can I buy a new pair of regular vibram soles for the sailing trip or do I need the non-marking. If I buy the non-marking, are they are versatile?

Thank you for your review. I would recommend replacing with the Vibram Unaweep sole. The Unaweep sole is more an everyday casual outsole it is non-marking. It is best for light hikes, and everyday wear. It has an angled well-spaced lug soles so it does hold a lot of debris. This is our most popular non marking sole.
